Thank you for sending me the last draft copy of the Project Agreement. I think you
have done an excellent job on it. I feel that the Agreement is a step forward in
contractor’s responsibility and spelling out in clear language a customer’s rights. I
hope you can carry this document on to other(s) ..... Keep Fighting Back!

I think the idea of providing general guidelines, and in some cases very specific
guidelines, is a good one. The home improvement industry has too long been totally
unregulated and unaccountable to consumers with regards to quality control and
performance. It looks as if your association recognizes this problem in the industry
and the documents you sent should improve the consumers position with regards to
contractors.

As a contractor it has always been difficult to find and/or develop a good system of
contract documents which are fair, easy to understand, and protect the interest of both
the Contractor and Consumer. ICA has done an exceptional job developing such
documents. The “Project Agreement” is the key and all other documents compliment
it very nicely. I recommend no changes at this time.
